Bruce is a professional musician who started his career in 1969 and continues to thrive due to his love of what he does! After 6000+ gigs he knows where and what to play. In that time he's shared the stage with acts as diverse as George Strait, R.E.O Speedwagon and Tiny Tim! For REAL! His musical taste is just as diverse. He believes that bass is the glue that holds the band together and as such should get in the pocket and stay there! His resume includes national acts Timothy P. and Rural Route 3 Firefall and B.W. Stevenson
Former road dog and Decatur fixture Mike is the heart of the Hoedads! Mike toured with The Shirelles and has opened for National acts Moe Bandy and John Conlee. He most often was found around Decatur playing for local favorites like Benji and the Bebops, Double Trouble, Sassy and Springfield's Out of the Woods! A drummer who plays everything from country to jazz and can vocalize too!
Jerry "Muttonhead" Erickson and Bruce started playing together as teenagers in Jamestown, New York. Bruce moved to Illinois and Jerry soon followed. They played together for nearly 20 years in one of Illinois favorite bands, Timothy P. and Rural Route 3! Jerry preceded Bruce in moving back to Illinois and was soon an in demand musician. He continues to play with several other acts when time permits. He's been called the ultimate utility man, playing guitar, slide guitar, steel guitar, dobro, singing lead and harmony vocals.
What can you say about Ron Stockert? Grammy Winner! Gold record recipient! Hollywood session player and producer! He has done it all! The list of bands and singers he has played with includes Rufus with Chaka Kahn, Three Dog Night, Etta James and Ike and Tina Turner. Let's not forget his involvement with Illinois' iconic Pork and the Havana Ducks! A great singer and songwriter, his original songs are a show highlight (as well as what might be the best rendition of “Desperado” ever)! A "PRO" in every sense of the word!
